Mohanram Natarajan
Mohanram was earlier the Director General of ERNET India, in the scale of Additional Secretary to Govt. of India. The ERNET project pioneered Internet in India in the early 90s. At ERNET India, he architected and delivered trend setting ICT solutions for the underprivileged sections of the society – rural & remote school children, farmers and the disabled. As CEO, he was a Member of the Governing Board of ERNET India, chaired by the Hon’ble Minister of MeitY.

Prior to ERNET India, he was the Director of C-DAC, Bangalore Centre and also served as the CTO of C-DAC. At C-DAC, Mohanram was the Chief Architect of GARUDA – India’s first National Grid Computing initiative. He also made significant contributions to the design and development of PARAM series of Supercomputers and was instrumental in establishing a National Supercomputing Facility at Bengaluru with PARAM Padma – India’s first Terascale Super Computer. Mohanram is a postgraduate in Computer Science from IIT Madras.

Mohanram is involved in several National Missions. He is currently a member of the Technology Advisory Committee of National Supercomputing Mission (NSM), chaired by Member, NITI Aayog and also a member of the CSIR-4PI Advisory Committee chaired by Shri Narayana Murthy, founder of Infosys. Earlier, he was a member of the Technology Advisory Committee of the National Knowledge Network(NKN) mission spearheaded by the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India.
