Dr. Nivedita Haran, Chairperson
Dr.Nivedita P Haran, retired as the Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Home Affairs, Government of Kerala, India. She has served extensively in various capacities with the Government of Kerala as well as Government of India. She was also the Civil Affairs Officer for the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Kosovo for five years. She has worked through the ranks of Indian Administrative Services (IAS) leading Home, Revenue, Land Management, Energy, Labour and Institutional Capacity Building Initiatives in Kerala. She brought up the Disaster Management Department with the Hazard Vulnerability and Risk Assessment Cell and the State Disaster Management Authority in Kerala. She also headed the Delhi Division in Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. She has a Ph.D. in Sociology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India.
Shri. R. Gandhi, Director
Mr Gandhi is a financial sector policy expert and adviser. Currently, he advises banks, finance companies and fintech entities. His expertise includes banking and non-banking regulation, payment systems, financial markets, FinTech and currency management. He is a prolific speaker and covers, including these areas, wide range of subjects.He was a Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India for three years from 2014 to 2017. He had been a seasoned and accomplished central banker for 37 years. He had a three year secondment to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the capital market regulator. He also held the charge of Director of the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology IDRBT), Hyderabad. He has been associated with various committees, working groups and task forces, both domestic and international. He was one of the initial members of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC). He was a member of the Basle Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) and the Committee on Global Financial Systems (CGFS), Basle.
Shri. S Ramann, Director
Shri. S. Ramann, IAAS, is deputed to NeSL, by the C&AG of India. Prior to joining NeSL, Ramann was the Principal Accountant General of Jharkhand. He is empaneled for the post of Joint Secretary to the Government of India. Earlier, he was the Executive Director, Secondary Markets, SEBI, while on deputation from Government of India from 2006 to 2013. His qualifications are, BA (Economics) and MBA from Delhi University. His professional qualification are L.L.B. from university of Mumbai, MSc Regulations from the London School of Economics, certified Internal Auditor from IIA, Florida and Post Graduate Diploma in Securities Law.
Shri. N. S. Srinath, Director
Shri N. S. Srinath, a career banker is presently the non-executive part time Chairman of Karur Vysya Bank. Prior to this he was Executive Director of Bank of Baroda, a post which he had held up to his superannuation on May 31, 2012. He was Chairman on the Boards of Bank of Baroda (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited and Bank of Baroda Ghana Limited, wholly owned subsidiaries of Bank of Baroda, and on the Board of ‘India Infrastructure Finance Company (UK) Limited’. He was also on the Board of Central Registry of Securitization Asset Reconstruction and Security Interest (CERSAI). He was trustee in Stressed Assets Stabilization Fund. He started his career in Banking by joining Canara Bank in the year 1970 and rose to the rank of General Manager. He has varied experience and exposure in the areas of Banking Operations, HR, Credit, International Operations, Recovery, IT, Systems and Procedures and internal control. He is a Science & Law Graduate from Bangalore University and is a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers – CAIIB.
Shri. N. Sundar, Director
Shri. N. Sundar started his career in the Bank as a Probationary Officer in the year 1985 and joined at Ahmedabad Circle. With a rich experience of more than 35 years, he has worked at different centres in Ahmedabad Circle and also abroad at our Los Angeles Agency as an India Based Trainee Officer. He has held senior positions in CAG, both as DGM & RM and General Manager, after which he worked as CGM, PFSBU. In June 2018, he was identified to set up the Credit Review Department (CRD), a new initiative of the Bank, to risk categorise the credit proposals before they are considered for sanction by the Credit Committees/ECCB. This initiative of the Bank was well received and widely appreciated. Presently, he is posted as Dy. Managing Director & Chief Credit Officer. As DMD & CCO of the Bank, he is heading the highest Credit Committee of the Bank. His interests include reading, photography, music, sports, and solving crosswords and jumbles.
